Most 6AM WorkShirts are available in two fabric options: our recommended Performance Fabric and a traditional Cotton option.

Never-Iron WorkShirts are available exclusively in Performance Fabric.

Performance Fabric — Recommended

Performance Fabric is our recommended option for demanding shifts, frequent wear, and easier care.

Depending on the shirt, the exact composition varies, but every Performance Fabric is selected to provide the right balance of:

- Wrinkle resistance

- Comfortable movement

- Easy care

- Durability through frequent washing

- Long-lasting colours and patterns

- Faster drying

- Spill resistance

- Shape recovery

Performance Fabric is the best choice for most hospitality professionals who want a shirt that stays presentable with minimal maintenance.

Cotton

Cotton offers the familiar feel of a natural fibre and a more traditional dress-shirt experience.

It is a good choice for customers who prioritize:

- A natural-fibre feel

- Familiar softness and texture

- A traditional dress-shirt appearance

- Fabric that softens naturally over time

Cotton generally requires more maintenance than Performance Fabric. It may wrinkle more easily, dry more slowly, and require more diligent washing, drying, or ironing to maintain a polished appearance. And yes, our cotton options are still spill-resistant.

What Is Performance Fabric Made Of?

Performance Fabric refers to the family of technical fabrics used throughout the 6AM collection. Different shirts use different compositions to create the appropriate balance of softness, structure, stretch, durability, and wrinkle resistance.

Original WorkShirts: Black and White

Our Men’s and Women’s Original WorkShirts use a soft, flexible blend:

- 70% polyester

- 27% bamboo

- 3% spandex

This blend combines durability and easier care with added softness and stretch.

Coloured and Patterned WorkShirts

Our coloured and patterned WorkShirts can be made with Performance Fabric or Cotton:

Performance Polyester Fabric was chosen as the default to showcase rich colours and fine pattern details while helping them remain crisp and vibrant through frequent wear and washing.

Never-Iron WorkShirts

Our Never-Iron WorkShirts use:

-100% recycled polyester

This fabric provides strong wrinkle resistance, easy care, and a consistently crisp appearance.

Never-Iron WorkShirts are not available in Cotton.

Which Fabric Should I Choose?

Choose Performance Fabric if you want greater wrinkle resistance, faster drying, easier care, and reliable performance through frequent shifts.

Choose Cotton if you prefer the familiar feel of a natural fibre and do not mind the additional care required to keep it looking polished.
